Annual Capacity**: 235,000 MT Builder**: MECON

Our Mini Blast Furnace (MBF) is a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance steel production efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. With an impressive annual capacity of 235,000 metric tons, this MBF incorporates innovative technologies that leverage waste gases, allowing us to recycle and reuse these by-products directly within the furnace.

Key Features

Sustainable Operation: By utilizing waste gases, we significantly reduce emissions and enhance energy efficiency, contributing to a greener steel production process.

Sinter Utilization: The integration of sinter in the production process optimizes raw material consumption, improving overall productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Advanced Engineering: Built by MECON, a leader in metallurgical engineering, our MBF reflects the latest advancements in furnace design and operation.

This investment not only boosts our production capacity but also aligns with our commitment to sustainable practices, ensuring that we meet the demands of our customers while protecting the environment.

Operational Process

  1. Charge Materials: Raw materials (iron ore, coke, flux) are mixed and charged into the furnace.
  2. Combustion: Air is introduced at the bottom, igniting the coke and generating the necessary heat for reduction.
  3. Reduction: Iron oxides are reduced to molten iron, which collects at the bottom of the furnace.
  4. Tapping: Molten pig iron is tapped periodically, and slag is removed for recycling or disposal.

Advantages

  • Cost-Effective: Lower capital and operational costs compared to large blast furnaces.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adjust production based on market demand and raw material availability.
  • Lower Energy Consumption: More efficient use of energy resources, leading to lower operational costs.
